Error reported = Cannot show file

Apologies for not being able to use Dutch in my search. I have a basic understanding of spoken or written Dutch, but I am unable to express myself in the language.
I have been using Aldfaer for a number of years. Some years ago I built some family trees and stored the files containing the information on CD. I now wanted to re-use some of the information and transferred the information on to a new PC.
The application seems to be running OK but it does not show the photos I added some years ago.
It displays an error = "Cannot show file:"
It knows which file is meant to be associated with the record. The filename of the .jpg file actually shows on screen. It just does not find the file.

Do Menu > Stamboom > Eigenschappen. Klik het mapje rechts en browse naar de locatie waar het materiaal staat en klik OK.

Aldfaer can be operated in English. To do so: Select Menu > Extra > Taal and select English.
Watch: this does not change the report language of the 5 yellow report icons. Select the drop down arrow left of the report icons > Overige rapporten > Engelse rapporten a.s.o. OR change the settings for standard text and graphic reports in Menu > Instellingen > Rapporten > Bestanden for the txt and graphic reports so that the report icons use the English versions

After you changed the Database > Properties > Material path to the corresponding location of the 'Material' folder do a Database > File control & repair (Shift+Ctrl+T).

I am still working on small little "niggles", but the old family tree has been restored, updated and transferred to another platform.
My grandkids do not know any Dutch (and most likely never will). It is heartening to find that I can provide them the essential information in English.
I really appreciate the Aldfaer software (especially as it is free !) and the help provided by the guys from the forum.
