GEDCOM bestanden

Het door Aldfaer geproduceerde GEDCOM bestand is niet geheel in overeenstemming is met de GEDCOM afspraken. Aldfaer heeft een GEDCOM bestand gemaakt op basis van (volgens eigen opgave) de 5.5 versie van de GEDCOM specificatie. GEDCOM versie 5.5 stamt uit 1995, versie 5.5.1 uit 1999, en de 5.5.1 Annotated Edition uit 2018. De huidige versie is GEDCOM 5.5.5, gepubliceerd in 2019.
Ik wil makers van Aldfaer te vragen om beter met mijn gegevens om te gaan door de GEDCOM 5.5 (of liever 5.5.5) specificatie nauwgezet te volgen, zodat andere stamboomprogramma's en -diensten uw genealogische gegevens goed en compleet kunnen verwerken.
Zodra ik geen informatieverlies meer heb als ik mijn stamboom op GenealogieOnline zet zal ik doneren.

Wat je schrijft klopt niet helemaal. GEDCOM is een standaard waarop de Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints het copyright heeft. Versie 5.5 dateert uit 1995, met errata in 1996. Versie 5.5.1 dateert uit 2019. Er is geen versie 5.5.5. Zie dit bericht .

Er is wel iemand die op eigen houtje een GEDCOM 5.5.5 heeft gepubliceerd, maar dat is dus een niet-officiële, mogelijk zelfs copyright-schendende versie. Daaraan verlenen wij derhalve geen ondersteuning.

Als je afwijkingen constateert in Aldfaer met betrekking tot versie 5.5 of 5.5.1 horen we graag concreet, liefst met verwijzing naar de specifieke paragraaf in de standaard, welke dat zijn, zodat we daar eventueel rekening mee kunnen houden.

Zoals in www.gedcom.org/press/PRGEDCOM555.pdf te lezen valt, wordt de site betaald door MyHeritage en is deze GEDCOM-versie bedacht door een aantal personen en niet door de LDS. We kunnen niet elke GEDCOM-uitwas ondersteunen en beperken ons daarom tot de formele standaard.

Als 5.5 zoveel fouten geeft waarom dan niet een GEDCOM gemaakt met 5.5.1 aan gevinkt in ALdfaer?
Op de manier zoals door vragensteller hier gepresenteerd is het niet na te trekken waar de fouten vandaan komen.

En misschien ten overvloede:
Als je het niet binnen Aldfaer gebruikt moet je ook de Aldfaer uitbreidingen die buiten de Gedcom standaard vallen niet aanvinken.

Het rapport is gegenereerd door het stamboomprogramma GenealogieOnline (Bob Coret) bij het uploaden van met Aldfaer gemaakte GEDCOM

Ik heb nu Gedcom 5.5.1 aangevinkt, maar dat maakt geen verschil, omdat deze versie in feite reeds gebruikt werd. Rapport komt van GenealogieOnline (Bob Coret). Elk goed stamboomprogramma exporteert de gegevens in een GEDCOM formaat dat voldoet aan een courante versie van de GEDCOM specificatie (op dit moment 5.5.5).
